Why I Love What I Do: I have practiced criminal law for over 20 years now, the first half of my career as a prosecutor, and the second half as a criminal defense attorney. Having sat now on both sides of the courtroom, I offer clients a wide scope of legal advice and specific recommendations for successful outcomes. As a criminal defense attorney, I understand the stress that comes with an arrest, and I have helped countless clients get their lives back together by putting forth a thorough, winning defense. I know that most of my clients come to me feeling powerless and overwhelmed, and the best part of my job is helping them put their negative experience behind them and move forward.
Attorney Anita Patel is a former Senior Deputy District Attorney (Ventura County and Madera County) handling felony and misdemeanors cases from reviewing and filing complaints to jury trials for over 11 years. Since then, Anita has practiced as a criminal defense attorney for over 12 years now. She received her law degree from Western State University where she was the recipient of the Dean’s Merit Scholarship and American Jurisprudence Awards. Anita has over 20 years of experience in criminal law.
