Why I love what I do: I went to law school with the sole purpose of practicing criminal law. I was drawn to the opportunity to litigate interesting and unique cases in court. I was also a senior articles editor on the Hastings Law Journal where I spent my time reviewing and editing almost exclusively criminal law articles to learn as much as I could about practical criminal law.

I spent just about 6 years of my practice working as a Deputy District Attorney in Contra Costa, Napa, and Shasta counties as well as working as an environmental circuit prosecutor at the California District Attorneys Association. I handled cases ranging from contracting without a license and driving on a suspended license to major narcotics and attempted murders.

Due to my experience working with many different law enforcement agencies, as well as different DA’s offices, I can help our clients understand the inner workings of these different agencies and navigate the court system more effectively and efficiently.
