Why I love what I do: The #1 question I always get as a criminal defense lawyer is “what is your win-loss record?” My favorite thing is to help my client’s define what “winning” is for them. A “win” can be a dismissal, a Not Guilty verdict, a sealed record, an expungement, staying out of jail, saving your commercial license, or just having someone stand beside you in front of a Judge and say “I believe this person.” No two cases are ever alike and no two clients are ever the same. As a criminal defense attorney I get to know *people*, not just names on a piece of paper. In getting to know people, I work collaboratively to figure out what their goals are for the situation and how I can best turn those goals into a reality.
