Why I love what I do: The #1 question I get as a criminal defense lawyer is, “what is your win-loss record?” My favorite thing is to help my clients define what “winning” is for them. A “win” can be a dismissal, a Not Guilty verdict, a sealed record, an expungement, staying out of jail, saving your commercial license, or just having someone stand beside you in front of a Judge and say, “I believe this person.” No two cases are alike, and no two clients are the same. As a criminal defense attorney, I get to truly know a person. My clients aren’t just names on a piece of paper. In getting to know someone, I work collaboratively to figure out their goals for the situation and how I can best turn those goals into a reality.
